A custom song, written for one person
Flowers die, cake gets eaten, but a song gets played every year!
Tell us the story. We'll write and produce a song about it — their name, their history, the private jokes nobody else would get.
Written and produced by Jeremy and a small team of songwriters and producers
55 Years of Love
Doo-wop. Their daughter commissioned this for the anniversary.
What's the occasion?
Pick one and we'll start there.
Tap an occasion — it drops straight into the form at the bottom.

Songs we've made for people
Some of our work ends up on our YouTube channel. New songs go up as we finish them.

What you're actually buying
The eight seconds before they realise it's about them.
There's a moment, usually somewhere in the first verse, where a name lands or a detail shows up that only the two of you know — and their face changes. That's the gift. The song is just the thing that carries it.
Then it stays on their phone for the rest of their life, and comes out every anniversary.
Start a songHow it works
You get a say at every step.
We're a small group of working songwriters and producers. Nothing gets finished without you signing off on it first — and the lyrics are yours to edit directly.
Tell us the story
One form, about two minutes. Who it's for, the occasion, and the details that matter — how they met, what they always say, the thing nobody else would know to include. The more you give us, the better the song.
We write the lyrics — you edit them
We send you a link to a shared working document with the lyrics in it. Change a line, fix a name, cut a verse you don't like. Most of the back-and-forth happens right here, and that's exactly how it should be. Nothing moves forward until you're happy with the words.
Then we build the music
Once the lyrics are locked, we produce the song around them in the style you picked — melody, arrangement, vocals. You get a private streaming link to listen to it, as many times as you like.
You approve it, then it's yours
Want something changed? Tell us and we'll rework it. When you say it's right, the finished audio file is yours to download, keep, and play forever.
Prices
Two options. That's the whole menu.
Same writers, same production, same finished song either way. The difference is how many passes you get at the words — and the words are where nearly all the work happens.

Need more than that? It's rare, but it happens — tell us what you're after and we'll quote you a price. No surprise charges, ever.
If the song isn't right, you don't pay for it.
We'd rather fix it than refund it — so tell us what's wrong and we'll keep working. But if you're still not happy, ask any time before you approve it and we'll refund you in full. You keep nothing you didn't want, and we keep nothing we didn't earn.
There's a real person on the other end of this.
Stuck on what to write? Want the song as a WAV instead of an MP3? Want it put up on a music site so the whole family can play it from their phones? Email and ask — we answer properly, not with a canned reply.
And once you've ordered, you get a direct line: a real phone number you can text or call, straight to the person writing your song. No ticket queue, no chatbot.

What happens when they hear it
For years I've had these songs swirling in my head, and finally I was able to bring them to life. But the best part? Seeing my wife's reaction — she loved every note.

It perfectly captured my love for my husband. He absolutely loves it, and it's now one of our favorite songs to listen to together.

Flowers? "They're just gonna die." Chocolate? "Don't even try it." So I took a wild swing and got her a song. She was singing along, crying happy tears. Anyway, it worked so well she's now my wife.

Tell us about them.
Six questions, about two minutes. You'll go straight to a secure checkout when you're done — and we'll email you the same day we start writing.
Don't overthink the story box. Ramble. Specific beats polished every single time — and you'll get to edit the lyrics yourself before a note of music is written.
Questions
Before you order
How long does it take?
Most songs are finished within a few days of you sending the story. If you're up against a hard date — a wedding, a birthday, a funeral — say so in the story box and we'll tell you straight away whether we can make it.
What exactly do I get?
A complete, produced song of about two and a half to three and a half minutes. You'll hear it on a private streaming link first; once you approve it, you get the audio file to download and keep — MP3, WAV, or any other format you need, just tell us which. Play it at the party, put it in a slideshow, load it onto their phone.
How do the changes actually work?
The lyrics come to you in a shared document you can type straight into — most people rewrite a line or two, and some rewrite a lot. When the words are right we produce the music and send you a private streaming link. If something needs adjusting, say so and we'll do another pass. Only when you approve it do you get the file to download.
What if I don't like it?
Tell us what's off and we'll rework it — that's what the revision rounds are for, and the shared lyrics document means you can show us rather than describe it. If we still can't land it, ask for a refund and you'll get one in full — any time before you approve the song. Approving is the moment your download unlocks, and that's where the sale becomes final.
Can you use their name in the song?
Yes, and most people want that. Put the name and how it's pronounced in the story box. Some names are hard to sing — if yours is one of them we'll tell you and we'll find a way around it.
Who owns the song?
You do, for personal use — playing it, sharing it, keeping it forever. If you want it for a business, an ad, or anything commercial, say so up front and we'll sort the licensing out properly.
Can I get a video to go with the song?
Not as part of the standard packages — a video is a separate piece of work. If you want one, say so and we'll quote it for you.
Can you put the song on Spotify or a music site?
Yes — say the word and we'll get it uploaded somewhere it can be streamed and shared, so everyone can play it from their own phone instead of passing a file around. Tell us before we finish and we'll sort it out with you.
Can I talk to someone before I order?
Email hello@giftsofsong.com with anything you're unsure about and we'll answer it. Once you've ordered you get a phone number you can text or call directly — we'd much rather spend two minutes talking than have you guessing at what to write.
Can I order this as a gift certificate?
Yes. Email hello@giftsofsong.com and we'll send you something you can print or forward, and they fill in the story themselves.
